This video shows why I still prefer to use Excalidraw.  ## Create Fantasy Maps Excalidraw can be used as a basic mapping tool. This video shows how to create a map.  ## Publish Maps With Obsidian Publish You can also publish Excalidraw drawings. This includes the ability to click links within the Excalidraw drawing, so you can add a map to a drawing, add pins to it and link those pins to notes and once published that functionality can work on [Obsidian Publish](https://obsidian.md/publish).
