All support is aligned with the Community Content Policy and free to use for all. > [!important]+ Legal Disclaimer > The Obsidian TTRPG Community uses trademarks and/or copyrights owned by Paizo Inc., used under [Paizo's Community Use Policy](http://paizo.com/communityuse). > We are expressly prohibited from charging you to use or access this content. **Obsidian TTRPG Community** is not published, endorsed, or specifically approved by Paizo. > For more information about Paizo Inc. and Paizo products, visit [paizo.com](http://paizo.com/). # PF2e Community Content There are multiple variations of community content available currently. There is a lot of movement in the Pathfinder 2e space due to the release of the Remaster content. The data you use will depend on what version of the game you are playing. > [!NOTE]- 🌟PF2e Remaster🌟 ( Adventures, Mechanics and Third Party Content) > - This method requires a [FoundryVTT](https://foundryvtt.com/) license. > - This is the method I am currently using. > > The other method listed below only provides the PF2e Community Content. Basically monsters, spells, rules. The things that make up the pf2e system which is very useful. However it does not include any adventures, lore or the custom things that exist in those products. If an adventure has a custom monster or npc for example, that generally will not be included in the PF2e Community Content. > > This method also enables 3rd Party Content such as the [Battlezoo Bestiary](https://battlezoo.com/collections/virtual-tabletop-products). > > This method allows you to access all of your owned content (well most of it). [FoundryVTT](https://foundryvtt.com/) includes all of the PF2e Community Content for free as part of the PF2e game system. There are also official modules for sale as [Foundry Packs](https://paizo.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Store.woa/wa/search?q=Foundry&what=products&sort=0&f=productType%2FDownload&f=manufacturer%2FFoundry+Virtual+Tabletop). These modules can be installed into Foundry and then exported using this process. There are also Foundry plugins that allow you to import your official pf2e pdf files into Foundry. As such this method allows you to export the content you have in Foundry to Obsidian. > - [PDF to Foundry](https://foundryvtt.com/packages/pdftofoundry) > - [Deidril's Pathfinder 2 PDF Import](https://foundryvtt.com/packages/pf2-pdf-en-import) > Which method you use will depend on the product you are trying to import. The community is generally supporting the push towards official [Foundry Packs](https://paizo.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Store.woa/wa/search?q=Foundry&what=products&sort=0&f=productType%2FDownload&f=manufacturer%2FFoundry+Virtual+Tabletop) and thus the community support for the pdf importers is slowing down. Generally the rule is; check for an official Foundry Pack, if it does not exist yet check the pdf plugins to see if either one supports the content you are trying to convert. > ### PF2e-MD-Exporter Plugin > Follow the install instructions [HERE](https://github.com/MostTornBrain/pf2e-md-exporter) > Huge thanks to [MostTornBrain](https://github.com/MostTornBrain) for his work on this! > [!info]- Pf2e Remaster (Mechanics Only) > The content allowed by the [Paizo Community Use Policy](https://paizo.com/community/communityuse) are available [HERE](https://github.com/Obsidian-TTRPG-Community/Pathfinder-2e-Remaster-SRD-Markdown) to download. > Simply download the latest version of the `PF2e-Mechanics` files and extract it anywhere in your vault and then follow the instructions [HERE](https://github.com/MostTornBrain/pf2e-md-exporter) for setting your vault up to use this content. > These note were created using Foundry as a source. It only includes the mechanics that are available per the [Paizo Community Use Policy](https://paizo.com/community/communityuse). > Huge thanks to [MostTornBrain](https://github.com/MostTornBrain) for his work on this! > [!info]- Original Pf2e Community Content (If you aren't playing Remaster use this) > There is a vast repository of pf2e approved community content that you can download and add to your vault. > This includes: Bestiaries, spells, items, feats, archetypes, backgrounds, afflictions and hazards. > > # Install Instructions > The are some plugins required to get these working properly. > > **Note:** These instructions may change at any time. It is always recommended to check the [Official Readme](https://github.com/Obsidian-TTRPG-Community/Pathfinder-2E-SRD-Markdown) file as this should always reflect the latest instructions. > > ## Admonitions > [Admonition](obsidian://show-plugin?id=obsidian-admonition) is used to customise the formatting of the content. > Download the [admonitions-pf2e-vs.json](https://github.com/ebullient/ttrpg-convert-cli/blob/main/examples/admonitions-pf2e-v3.json) file. This file defines the custom formatting that is used. You need to install it into Admonitions: > `Settings > Community Plugins > Admonitions > Import Admonition(s) > Select admonitions-pf2e-v3.json > Click Open to complete the install` > > ## Fantasy Statblocks > [Fantasy Statblocks](obsidian://show-plugin?id=obsidian-5e-statblocks) is used to render the monsters and statblocks. > See instructions above: [[Pathfinder 2e#Supported Plugins]] > > ## Optional: Pathfinder CSS > This is used to add little visual tweaks to the content. > Download the \*.css from here: https://github.com/ebullient/ttrpg-convert-cli/blob/main/examples/css-snippets/pf2-compendium.css > Add the file to your vaults snippet folder. If there is no snippets folder then you create it yourself. > `Settings > Appearance > Go down to CSS Snippets > Click the Open Snippets Folder icon > copy the css file into this folder` > Now you need to enable the css snippet. > `Settings > Appearance > Go down to CSS Snuppets > Locate the snippet in the list and click the enable option` > > ## Optional: Force Note View in Frontmatter > This is an optional plugin that is supported by the content. It basically allows the Edit/Reading mode of a note to be forced in the [[Front Matter (YAML) and Tags|frontmatter]] of a note. > > ## Community Content > You should now be ready to download the Community Content. > `Download this zip: [Pathfinder-2E-SRD-Markdown.zip](https://github.com/Obsidian-TTRPG-Community/Pathfinder-2E-SRD-Markdown/archive/refs/heads/main.zip)` > `Extract the content of the zip into your vault at the parent folder level.` > Restart Obsidian to apply the change. > `Ctrl+P > Type: Reload App Without Saving > Press Enter` > > **IMPORTANT:** Copy the folder into the parent folder of your vault. If you want to move the folders around you can do so but only do it from within Obsidian. If you move the folders around from outside Obsidian then the links will break. > > [!warning]- TTRPG-Convert-CLI (Not Recommended for PF2e Currently) > The community content has been created using the TTRPG-Convert-CLI tool. You can learn more about that here: [[TTRPG-Convert-CLI PF2e]]. The data being used by the CLI has not been updated for Remaster and the PF2e version is not as polished and thus missing some data. ## Supported Plugins The following plugins have pf2e support built-into them. > [!tip]- Fantasy Statblocks > Fantasy Statblocks has support for pf2e styled statblocks built into the plugin. > ![[Pasted image 20230605070044.png]] > > ## Install Instructions > To enable: > Install the plugin: [Fantasy Statblocks](obsidian://show-plugin?id=obsidian-5e-statblocks) > `Settings > Community Plugins > Fantasy Statblocks > Layouts > Change the default to: Basic Pathfinder 2e Layout` > Pathfinder 2e statblocks are stored in the frontmatter of notes. So you need to enable the plugin to use that data. > `Settings > Community Plugins > Fantasy Statblocks > Note Parsing > Parse Frontmatter for Creatures` > You should also enable this to allow spells to be linked within the statblocks. > `Settings > Community Plugins > Fantasy Statblocks > General Settings > Try to Render Wikilinks` > Restart Obsidian to apply the change. > `Ctrl+P > Type: Reload App Without Saving > Press Enter` > Note: You can also access the Command Palette from the left hand icon menu. Look for the `>_` > ![[Pasted image 20230605070434.png]] > [!tip]- Calendarium > Calendarium has the option to install the calendar of Golarium. > `Settings > Community Plugins > Fantasy Calendar > Create New Calendar > Choose Preset > Calendar of Golarium > Apply Save and Exit (look for the little tick up the top left)` > [!tip]- PF2e Creature Adjuster (Apply Elite/Weak Templates to monsters) > This plugin adds additional functionality to the PF2e monsters supported by the Fantasy Statblock plugin. It allows you to apply the Elite or Weak templates to your monsters. > **Note:** *This plugin is not officially released yet and must be installed with [BRAT](obsidian://show-plugin?id=obsidian42-brat)* > `Settings > Community Plugins > PF2e Statblocks` > Plugin Link: [PF2e Creature Adjuster](https://github.com/MostTornBrain/monster-mash) > ![](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB-PhqYvzTY) > [!tip]- Alternative - PF2e Statblocks > This is an alternative Statblock plugin designed to offer simpler markdown formatting vs the Fantasy Statblocks plugin. I do not use this one but it is an option for those that want a simpler statblock format. > **Note:** *This plugin is not designed to be used by Initiative Tracker or the PF2e Creature Adjuster plugins* > `Settings > Community Plugins > PF2e Statblocks` > Plugin Link: [PF2e Statblocks](obsidian://show-plugin?id=pf2e-statblocks) ### Additional Plugins These don't add pf2e specific support but can expand the support offered by the plugins above. > [!tip]- Dice Roller > Installing this will enable dice rolling within the statblocks. > You need to enable the dice within the Fantasy Statblocks plugin settings. > `Settings > Community Plugins > Fantasy Statblocks > General Settings > Render Dice Rolls > Enable` > [Dice Roller](obsidian://show-plugin?id=obsidian-dice-roller) > [!tip]- Initiative Tracker > Installing this will enable the statblocks to be used in the Initiative Tracker. > [Initiative Tracker](obsidian://show-plugin?id=initiative-tracker) ## Theme Support > [!tip]- ITS Theme > The ITS Theme has built-in support for Pathfinder. It is designed to replicate the look and feel of a Pathfinder book. > `Settings > Appearance > Themes > Manage > Filter: ITS > Use this theme` > ITS has lots of additional features and settings which you can learn about at the official [ITS Theme Documentation](https://publish.obsidian.md/slrvb-docs/ITS+Theme/ITS+Theme) site. > To enable the Pathfinder Alternative Theme you need to install and enable the [Style Settings](obsidian://show-plugin?id=obsidian-style-settings) plugin. > `Settings > Community Plugins > Style Settings > ITS Theme Settings > Alternate Color Schemes > Dropdown: TTRPG > Pathfinder` > There is also a Pathfinder Remaster Theme available. > Note: The theme supports both Dark and Light mode.
