# Session Summary
- Party started the session having run from [[Hluthvar]].
- They ran through the fields heading for the tree line.
- At the tree line they nearly stumbled on [[Ewyn Stafwind]] who was hiding behind a fallen log watching the smoke coming from [[Hluthvar]] .
- The party made quick introductions before taking [[Ewyn Stafwind]] advise and heading for [[Scornubel]].
- The party made a bold move into [[Scornubel]] and ordered the guards to awaken the council.
- The party spoke with the council and informed them about the movements of the Cult of the Dragon and the falling of [[Hluthvar]].
- The party were surprised at the reaction of the council. The council saw the fight as an opportunity for profit and were organising to send some trade wagons to [[Hluthvar]] hoping to open the routes of trade with their new neighbours.
- The council decided to play the situation from both sides of the coin though and organised for the party to travel by boat to [[Baldur's Gate]] so warn the military there.
- The party left on a sail boat.
- [[Ewyn Stafwind]] brought his family with him on the boat. He was afraid to leave them too close to the Cult of the Dragon.
- They stopped in quickly at [[Elturel]] where supplies were traded. The party stayed on the boat.
- Edwyn's family got off the boat here and agreed to warn the town officials of the local threat.
- The boat made it's way down the river towards [[Baldur's Gate]].
- The boat passed [[Fort Morninglord]]. The captain asked that everyone close their eyes for the duration of passing the fort. He was superstitious and believed the fort to be a place of great evil.
- As the party left [[Fort Morninglord]] a raven was seen following the boat. [[Lav Lazno|Lav]] flew up to say hi.
- The bird landed on the deck and turned into a human.
- The lady was a member of the Harpers.
- Gave the party a pendant of teleportation that was keyed to [[Waterdeep]].
- The party used the teleport and found themselves in [[Waterdeep]]
- They met Leosin Erlanthar who was a member of the Harpers.
- They were provided with fresh clothes and an opportunity to freshen up which included a hair cut.
- They were then ushered into the council chambers where they spoke before at least a hundred people from around the realms.
- They relayed what they knew and it was agreed that a military response was necessary.
- The Harpers spoke also and informed the council of what they had learnt.
- Legends speak of 5x Dragon Masks of different colors.
- Red Dragon Mask
- Blue Dragon Mask
- Green Dragon Mask
- White Dragon Mask
- Black Dragon Mask
- The Dragon Masks each contain the power to speak with Dragons and in the hands of the wrong people could help bring Dragons against the realm.
- The 5x masks can be combined to form a powerful artifact that was once used to help banish the Queen Dragon [[nonhuman-tiamat|Tiamat]] to the Nine Hells.
- The Harpers fear the Cult of the Dragon may be seeking the 5x Masks in a bid to release Tiamat upon the Realms.
- If Tiamat was to be released, death and destruction would follow.
- The players shared that they had witnessed a Red Dragon, Blue Dragon and Black Dragon which has lead the Harpers to believe the Cult may already have 3 of the masks.
- Upon completion of the council session the players were ushered into a strategy session.
- They tasked the players with seeking out the White Dragon Mask. It would be a dangerous journey into the icy north.
- The party are to seek out an ancient relic known as the Draakhorn.
- It is a horn that can be heard by all dragons across the realm.
- They were provided with the following information:
> [!note]+ Read Aloud
> "The Sea of Moving Ice was the last known location of the Draakhorn. No one can pinpoint its present location from the sound, or even verify with certainty that the relic is still in the northern sea, but the search must start there.
>
> "The one person who could tell us more is a tiefling sorcerer called Maccath the Crimson. No one alive knows more about the Draakhorn than her, but the Arcane Brotherhood, of which she is also a member, hasn't seen her for three years. She was investigating the Sea of Moving Ice when she disappeared."
- The players are tasked with seeking out [[Maccath the Crimson]].
> [!note]+ Read Aloud
> "Maccath reported her progress to the Hosttower by way of sending spells. Her last report spoke of seeing Ice Hunters paddling their sealskin boats toward a huge iceberg, flattened like a plateau across its surface, but ringed by icy peaks. She had intended to follow the Ice Hunters and investigate the iceberg. After that, no more reports came.
>
>"Attempts to find Maccath using scrying and other magical means located only her ship, adrift and heavily damaged. Some of the ship's crew were seen dead, but no sign of the tiefling sorcerer was ever found. However, the lair of a dragon as powerful as Arauthator is no doubt protected against scrying magic. If Maccath is alive, in addition to the lore she can share regarding the Draakhorn, the Arcane Brotherhood would be most grateful to get her back."
- Transport has been arranged. The players will use a portal network to get them to Neverwinter and take a boat north from there.
- The players were provided with warm clothes and an opportunity to resupply.
- The players were provided with 1x Uncommon magic item each from the Harper stores to assist on the journey.
